N.A.W Boot Camp announced
(posted February 20, 2012)

N.A.W is seeking men and women who are interested in becoming professional wrestlers. The N.A.W Training Centre is starting a boot camp today for people who want to be involved in the business. You need to be fit and healthy and no younger than 16 years of age. Please contact N.A.W at the above email address, or contact Commissioner Phil Gluyas, trainer Mike Manson or N.A.W via Facebook. The link is found in the Booking/Contact page above. You can also contact the Commissioner at commish@philgluyas.com.

Changes and promos galore!
(posted February 17, 2012)
Plenty has been happening in the past week, with the posting of the first four promos for our show on March 3. Jarek Craven is looking forward to his title shot and clearly feels he has turned the corner, but Ryan O'Hare is super confident in their third meeting. Commissioner Phil Gluyas is frustrated and is ready to take further action, but Iron Horse Morrison and Paul Vaughan are not budging and seem to have something up their sleeve! The playlist for the March 3 promos can be found on our You Tube channel;
http://www.youtube.com/user/nawaustralia

Big Huss has been forced by work commitments to pull out of the show, and his place against Andy Rhodes has been taken by Insano. In addition, Morphine and Tre have changed their team name to the Burn City Cliq.

Hopefully more promos will appear in the next few days, and the full preview should be on site over this coming weekend.

Complete card for March 3
(posted February 11, 2012)
The card for Winds of Change has been completed, and it is a stacked card. The full preview will be added to the page as soon as possible. As well as the main event and the altered South Pacific title match featured on the new poster, we have a tag team title match between the Extreme Alliance and Morphine and Tre - known now as the M.City Hoodz. We have Mike Manson and a mystery partner against Slikk Steev and Barry Lawrence, Andy Rhodes taking on Big Huss, Alex Haize taking on Joel Bateman, George Julio taking on F.O.X and Josh Shooter taking on Xavier Black.

Bookings are being taken now through the Booking/Contact link and via email. You'd be crazy to miss this one.

The return of the Sheik
(posted February 9, 2012)

In a shock development that has taken N.A.W by surprise, Sheik Mohammed El Zacqwi, the former Heavyweight and South Pacific champion, has returned after an absence of two and a half years. He had been deported but his legal eagles have got around the problem and he has made his presence felt straight away by buying out Jake Lindo and taking his shot at the South Pacific in the process.

An infuriated Commissioner Phil Gluyas was quick to react by firing Lindo on the spot, but he is at present unable to do anything about the change in the card.

The Sheik caused a lot of havoc last time he was here, but as he had the then Commissioner in his back pocket he got away with a lot. Gluyas has made it clear that he won't be pushed around by the Middle Eastern loudmouth.

Building to the Winds of Change
(posted February 8, 2012)
The build has started for the first Albion show for 2012, with the four matches signed and confirmed at Melton Mayhem II.

Commissioner Phil Gluyas is busy working on the remainder of the card, while continuing to solidify the administration of New Age Wrestling. It's proving to be a difficult task. Gluyas has indicated however that there may not be a women's match at all as he has been informed that Vixsin will in fact be accompanying Mad Dog McCrea to Japan, and he is also having trouble getting in touch with TJ Star. With Lowzen on the shelf, Nikita Naridian may not have an opponent for the March show.

Gluyas is also weighing up his options regarding the future of Iron Horse Morrison after what happened at Melton Mayhem II. Many are tipping a suspension for the big man.

In the coming days it is expected that more matches will be announced and the full preview should be posted soon.

Breaking News - Change to the Melton card
(posted January 20, 2012)

Commissioner Phil Gluyas has announced that there will be a third man in the match for the number one contendership making the match a triple threat contest. Joining Jarek Craven and Insano in the match up will be;

BIG HUSS!!

This is huge news. Huss has been in Japan and it was rumoured that he would be staying there. But he has returned home and when Gluyas heard that he was available, the Commissioner wasted no time adding Huss to the heavyweight title contenders match. This was clearly to make up for Huss's loss of his previous contendership status to Josh Extreme at Line in the Sand last September, and it will change the game plans of both Craven and Insano.

Injury Update
(posted January 18, 2012)
N.A.W has received an update on the injury status of former two time Women's champion, Lowzen. She was forced to leave the triple threat match at the Christmas Bash early after Vixsin re-injured her already vulnerable shoulder. This injury has a history going back to June 2011 when she first hurt it during the special match when she teamed with George Julio against her ex boyfriend Iron Horse Morrison. The problem was exacerbated by her sister Nikita Naridian during the match in which Nikita took the women's title from Lowzen.

Despite continuing issues, Lowzen continued to wrestle but she hurt the shoulder again after crashing through a table during the Street Fight at War Games in November. The attack by Vixsin in the match at the last show was the final straw.

Over the Christmas/New Year break, Lowzen underwent surgery and had a shoulder reconstruction. The prognosis is very good, provided Lowzen uses the time to rest the shoulder properly it should be 100 percent. This will take some time so we will not be seeing Lowzen in action in the foreseeable future. N.A.W hopes that she will be back in the ring later in 2012 sometime.

Melton Mayhem II card and preview
(posted January 10, 2012)
The full card has now been formally announced and it's another packed eight match card for N.A.W's return to Melton on February 4 at the Melton Darts Centre. Along with the matches noted on the poster, there is also a tag team title match and heaps of other action. The first row is already booked and we are still a little less that four weeks from the big event! So hurry up and book!

The preview has also been posted.

We need referees!
(posted January 3, 2012)
After running the Christmas Bash with just one referee and likely Melton Mayhem II as well, Commissioner Phil Gluyas has put out the following statement;

"It is extremely difficult to run a show with only one referee. I can't don the zebra stripes myself on a regular basis, and we seem to have quite a shortage in general of referees around Melbourne. So I have arranged some time at the NAW training facility in order to take on the job of training some new ones. It's not an easy job and only truly dedicated people get to be a referee."

Applications can be sent either to N.A.W at the email address at the top of this page, or to the commissioner direct at commish@philgluyas.com. Only serious applications will be accepted and you must be fit and healthy and have a fairly strong interest in the business of professional wrestling.

Welcome to 2012
(posted January 1, 2012)
It's a new year and New Age Wrestling is looking forward to 2012 to 11 dates booked for the year, and an updated look to this website in order to streamline some updating functions, fix some issues with communications and improve the look.

We have also added the title histories to the archives section, and expanded the community section to include links to other websites such as the You Tube channels of Alexi Papadopolous, Mickey Jackson, Andy Rhodes and referee Edwin Lay as well as the personal websites of members of the N.A.W roster. At present there are only two - for Mickey Jackson and the Commissioner Phil Gluyas.

Melton Mayhem II is a little over a month away and we are already taking bookings.

Official You Tube channel changes
(posted December 19, 2011)
New Age Wrestling is delighted to announce that we have finally been able to re-activate our original You Tube channel. Access was restricted in late 2009 and this is partly why a new channel was created to present our videos in more recent times.

However these issues have now been resolved. The videos from our new channel have now been moved to the original and it will no longer have videos added. Playlists includes material like the past highlights packages (which should include the delayed Melton highlights from October 22 very soon as well as the delayed Zero Hour highlights from November 12 and the highlights from the Christmas Bash), and promos for Line in the Sand, Rules of Engagement, Zero Hour and War Games.

The new channel is;

The woes of being Commissioner
(posted November 30, 2011)
Some changes have been made to the card for the December 10 show, and commissioner Phil Gluyas is reportedly a little frustrated at the issues that are coming up now that he is in control. He told the N.A.W website;
"I knew I was going to be in for a hard time, but I must say I didn't expect it this soon. It reminds me a lot of what I saw while I was umpiring football. People pulling out at the last minute for various reasons - some quite fair but others highly suspect. I'm not going to comment at this point on the changes in any detail until I speak to a few people, but needless to say I never like making last minute changes, least of all to my first show at the tiller!"

Facebook will be an interesting read over the next week and a half. The preview for the December 10 show has been adjusted accordingly.

Website update
(posted November 23, 2011)
N.A.W apologises for the late update to the website after the biggest show in history this past weekend in Mulgrave. Computer issues that prevented this are now under control and there should be some fresh updates by the end of the coming weekend.

New commissioner Phil Gluyas is presently cleaning up the mess left behind by the regime of James Jackson and the now defunct Seven Deadly Sins and has already confirmed the two matches on the Christmas Bash poster for December 10. But we advise that as a result of the mess, there will not be a show at all in January 2012 and Albion will not host a show until at least March unless something can be arranged otherwise.

The date for the next show at Melton has been confirmed for February 4, 2012. We are also planning for other venues but no specifics can be confirmed as of yet. In the past, N.A.W have held shows in St.Albans, Dingley and even Hobart, Tasmania. 2012 will be an exciting year.

Iron Horse Morrison issues more threats
(posted November 17, 2011)

In the week leading up to War Games, the videos are coming out with Iron Horse Morrison making a number of claims with a primary focus on Lobo, along with a few choice words for Team N.A.W manager Phil Gluyas.

When this video initially appeared on Facebook, Gluyas was quick to claim that he had a camera and that a reply would appear soon. As of this news posting the reply has not yet been seen.

War Games in the local paper
(posted November 16, 2011)
Ryan Rollins was born and bred in Mulgrave. He even trained at the Southern Reserve, where the Southern Community Centre is located, in his younger days. His return there along with Nikita Naridian is the subject of a story in this week's Waverley Leader.

While the story is in print going into homes in the region, the website link includes a special video about the two wrestlers.

What Mulgrave means to them - The Full List
(posted November 15, 2011)
